Happy October and HAPPY FALL! This is one of my favorite months of the year. Even though it is definitely still 90 in Atlanta and feels nothing like fall.
One of my favorite things about the fall and winter months is breaking out all of my favorite boots/booties and this year is NO different. This year is going to be EXTRA fun because print is in my friends, and there is no better way to incorporate a print into your outfit than with a fun pair of shoes! I’ve narrowed my fall shoe collection down to my three FAVORITE styles for the season and I am going to be sharing all about them here!
1.The Sock Bootie
This is a bootie style that I have seen for a couple of fall seasons now, but this year it is back and better than ever. I have always been a fan as I think this style is so flattering on the leg. I have large ankles (or as I call them “Cankles”) and calves but I feel like this style gives gives an illusion that they are smaller. Some may worry that the sock style would not look right on them because of this, but I can tell you that you are wrong! Don’t be afraid to give them a go! I will say, this type of bootie is not one that is made to pair with your jeans. A good pair of Spanx leggings? That could work, but with a tighter fit near the ankle you want to avoid having to shove pants into them. Try a romper or a dress and you will be sold! In past years I have rarely seen this bootie in much other than your solid colors but this year I have really seen some fun prints. I am sharing a few of my favorite pairs from Nordstrom, DSW, Forever21, Missguided and ASOS below.
2.The Knee-High Slouchy Boot
This look was a little new for me. I have always seen your typical knee-high boot this time of year, however, this year they have spiced up your normal knee-high boot with a slouchy spin. I will say this look is obviously great with a skirt or a dress, but what I really love about these is how easy it is to wear them with jeans. You don’t have to worry about your jeans rolling up in your boot because the slouch gives you plenty of room. Sharing my favorite pairs that I have come across so far this season from DSW, Amazon, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Forever 21 and Zappos.
So this trend has been around for quite a while now and it is by far my FAVORITE boot trend to date. I love a good thigh-high boot in the winter because you can wear them with a pair of jeans but more importantly you can get more wear out of your dresses and rompers by pairing them this way as well (even with the cooler temps). I have so many favorite pairs and I am sharing some of them below from Goodnight Macaroon (my FAVS and 40% off with code “Cozy40”), Nordstrom, DSW and Nordstrom Rack.
I hope you have enjoyed reading about my favorite shoe trends for the chilly seasons!! If you have a favorite, let me know in the comments below!
